Operation: Op Vital Stretch - The unusual CIA operatives from Operation Stove Turnip tasked Endgame Red with a psychological warfare operation: to locate four religious idols from the local tribespeople and use them to complete a ritual at altars scattered through the swamp. This would, they claimed, demonstrate US dominance and bring the local tribes back on-side (they having absconded with the weaponry supplied to win their affections to date). Unfortunately for Endgame Red, not only were the local tribespeople not keen to relinquish their idols, but the North Cheltenamese had sent Chelt Cong forces to secure the idols as well, and the People's Republic of Cambridge had sent a combat group as well, apparently not keen on their North Chelt allies from doing whatever they planned with the idols either. The CIA operatives, who were very slow-spoken, seemed keen for this all to be over, so that they could ask Roosevelt to let them come home, as they were especially curious to see if the war in Europe had been won yet and how the Normandy landings had gone.

Operation: Op Bad Outhouse - Endgame Red are tasked with rapid relief of garrison forces and defence of several AVRN bases overlooking the river basin against sustained regular and irregular forces. During multiple rolling engagements they utilised air, artillery and naval support to drive back forces many times their size.

Scatter and group destroyed a far larger force and ended the mortar barrage. Operation: Op Ardent Ripple - Endgame Red is assigned as the SANDY ground team to conduct Combat Search And Rescue for the Air Force in conjunction with Jolly Green Giants, Broncos and Skyraider "Spud" strike aircraft. Two CSAR missions completed; a pilot recovered from just north of Da Krong, and a dual-crew flight from the marshes of the Mekong Delta. All for only a relatively modest expenditure of US aircraft.

Commendation: Captain Norman J. Scatter, United States Air Force, distinguished himself by outstanding meritorious service as Forward Air Controller, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Ardent Ripple on 5 January 2024. While conducting forward air control in support of a joint personnel recovery operation, Captain Scatter lost all communications with other supporting CAS aircraft. With friendly forces heavily suppressed by North CheltNam fire, he quickly developed non-verbal fire support coordination measures. This enabled Air Force A-1 Skyraiders to provide emergency air strikes, providing essential air support during the operations most critical moments. His quick thinking ensured the survival and recovery of two downed aircrew, and the successful extraction of the entire team. The distinctive accomplishments of Captain Scatter reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Air Force, and the Department of Defense. - by Admin

Operation: Op Beholder Virtue - Two further CSAR missions, one pilot down and taken to a small Chelt village, from where we had to rescue him, and one pilot down on what will forever be known as The Island Of Bastards and Mountains, where we had to try to get a Jolly Green pickup on an island with 3 square inches of flat land.

Reason: AWARDED Cluster to their Air Force Achievement Medal (AFFAM) for effective FAC operations despite extremely difficult terrain conditions in the North East Island Chains during Operation Beholder Virtue. (by Admin)

Operation: Op Clean Blanket - SAR Ops. Scramble 1: Two pilots ejected over the river bend north of Keng Lat. One pilot KIA, one recovered by Endgame Red and extracted. Scramble 2: Single pilot shot down over San Bay Ban, chute landed on the coastline SW of the airfield. Pilot recovered by Endgame Red. Two Jolly Greens and Sandy-1 shot down, crew recovered by Endgame Red.

Reason: AWARDED Cluster to their Air Medal (AM) for courageous daring in establishing necessary aerial sight lines to allow effective air operations during Operation Clean Blanket. (by Admin)
Commendation: Captain Scatter showed great situational awareness and demonstrated a high level of ability in guiding strike aircraft to targets while deconflicting airspace, marking targets and coordinating with ground forces and allied RW assets. His actions and competence were instrumental in saving friendly lives and ending enemy ones. - by Admin
Commendation: I'm Romeo to everyone else, but Foxtrot to him. Besides that, Capt Scatter's airborne co-ordination in complex, dynamic, missions ensures all forcees, both ground and air, have the required situational awareness for a successful evolution. Without his eyes in the sky, the ground forces would be unable to offer such a fine example of cross-service co-operation that our pilots in need have grown to expect. ADDITIONAL: Capt Scatter also, singlehandedly, prevented a Skyraider from crash landing onto the runway at Maxwell due to his sharp eyes and quick thinking in noticing a critical issue with the pilot's approach, saving like a life, an airframe, operational up-time and resources, as well as gallons of valuable aviation fuel. - by Admin

Operation: Op Vanity Snob - SAR Ops. Scramble 1: A4 pilot crashed in a mountain valley north of Hue, near medium mobile AAA battery on plateau, pilot ejected. Pilot recovered alive by Endgame Red but killed by Chelt Cong recoilless fire near escape LZ. Scramble 2: Two ejected pilots linked up during E&E and took shelter in a shop in Attapeu before it was occupied by a CC Main Force with light armour and vehicle support. Both pilots recovered successfully, Covey-1 shot down but recovered from the site successfully.
Commendation: For courageous daring, ensuring the Airforce always hits its mark. Be that by rocket, bomb or Bronco. - by Admin

Operation: Op Substantial Grapefruit - SAR Ops. Scramble 1: a CAS skyraider has gone down north of the radar station at Ke Chau. Insert into Ke Chau to gain more information from ground forces there, then move to recover pilot. Scramble 1a: a CAS skyraider has gone down in support of Scramble 1. Head back out after a rearm and rescue him. Scramble 2: two pilots ahve gone down and are being sheltered by friendly forces in a cave complex to the west of Cu Chi. Be careful though, it's getting dark.

Operation: Op Sneaky Guard - Scramble 1: Pilot in the air 1-2 km east of Ban Len. Landed east of MSS Leghorn and fled east while the squad rambled a little. Scramble 2: F-111 crashed 3M W of Phao Noi, in the immediate vicinity of Thud Ridge. SEAD suppressed the SAM site, with Sandy flight continuing to rain down fire on it, but Sandy 2 was hit and crashed and has been captured by the Chelt. The pilots of the F-111 were recovered successfully although Jolly-2 was damaged enough to need to perform a forced landing and the squad left the AO on Jolly-1.
Commendation: Despite obvious damage to his aircraft, kept directing TACAIR in support of both ground element and additional downed aircrew. - by Admin

Operation: Op Ecology Ephemeris - OP1: Is Death Better than the Taunton Travelodge? Endgame Red attempted to intercept a convoy of POWs being taken through CC controlled South Cheltenam across the border into North Cheltenam where they would then be unrecoverable until after the war. Unfortunately, anti-aircraft fire shot down both USMC helicopters despite air support from TACAIR, and in the ensuing running battle the convoy was intercepted but destroyed during the combat, killing the POWs. Endgame Red were successfully extracted by the US Army Air Corps who provided a recovery helicopter on short notice from a nearby FOB. OP2: Don't let the Intel get Moist During the return to home base, Endgame Red were diverted to support a 'special forces' operation on a thickly jungled island off the coast of South Cheltenam, recovering several suitcases of 'Intel' from CC hands on behalf of the less than charismatic special forces liaison officer. The use of Naval Gunfire support from the nearby destroyed USS Henderson led to operational success, but the island and its villages were left ablaze as Endgame Red returned to Maxwell Field for the mission debrief.

Commendation: Mr Scatter didn't have nothing to do with the deaths of the pilots in the Convoym he was telling me how the entire thing got away from him and the air support was just strafing whatever they wanted, Also the Helicopters flew right into a heavily defended Anti aircarft position despite his clear instructions for them to destroy thoes positions, really none of it was his fault. - by Admin

Operation: Op Ego Afterthought - Evaluated as the 14th (out of 18) most effective CSAR unit on the roster, and not curently enjoying the favour of either the USMC or USAF, Endgame Red was deployed by helicopter to Firebase A Luoi in the A Shau valley. Tasked to overwatch the main North-South MSR and protect passing traffic, they disrupted Chelt operations in the area through two nights and one day, allowing the safe passage of five US convoys for the loss of one vehicle.

Reason: AWARDED Cluster to their Air Force Combat Action Medal (AFCAM) for providing on-site artillery support, vibes, and close combat defence of the position in the A Lau firebase during operation Ego Aferthought. (by Admin)
Commendation: Working concert with another EGR team member Scatter provided accurate and timely mortar fire, danger close to the FOB that blunted a number of EI attacks. Without this artillery support the FOB would have been over run At one point Scatter personally defended his mortar position at close quarters from enemy forces that had breached the perimeter. Once both mortars were functional Scatter then fought on the front line of the base defense, being wounded and refusing to leave the line. - by Admin

Commendation: Captain Scatter was so good on this ground Op! he says he hates being on the ground but he really showed his mettle here, he offered onvaluable advice to the chain of command, on the spot Fire support from the in base mortars (despite not being trained on this model and lacking a rang card) and i personally witnessed him kill multiple Chelt that had infiltrated the base in one case saving the medics. Sar Mission 2: 2 seater down in the village of Hinlap but a large Chelt force is pushing from the north. One catch, 100+ enemy are hot on your heels and the air is getting spicy. Go get our boys!

Operation: Op Upright Chaplain - Part 1: Deployed to recover the crew of a crashed A-6 Intruder around 120 094 - that had fallen prey to a flak trap on the hilltop at 110 100. Major Scatter demonstrated exception skill at arms throughout the operation, using his strange smg to great effect. I personally witnessed him neutralise a number of chelt with great accuracy and aggression, more befitting a member of God's own service. However, it is his actions towards the end of the operation I must specifically commend. The squad had become pinned during an assault on an SA2 position by a previously unseen enemy force who were dug in at the top of a steep hill. I moved to engage this enemy position to buy the squad time to regroup, that's nothing special its what I'm meant to do, however, The Major the stated that he was coming with me to assault the enemy position, and confirmed he understood the risk and likelihood of success. Major Scatter the assaulted the position in a manner that would have made Chesty proud, continuing the action after I became injured in the fight and coordinating with other squad members. Operation: Op Press Recording - SAR for the crew of an A-3D Skywarrior bomber down in the vicinity of Fuck That. While TACAIR was available and landed some hefty strikes (some on the enemy, and some on the platoon) difficulty with radio propagation meant that in the end, a Herculean effort from the infantry was required instead.
Medal: Air Force Achievement Medal (1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters)

Commendation: After co-ordinating support for EGR from the air Major Scatter then joined the squad on the ground, participating in several ground based actions and spotting the final member of the downed aircrew at the bottom of a cliff. Operation: Op Ignoring Leave - Sneaky beaky night mission over the border into Dorset to observe and recover/destroy information on the new weapon, Wild Wurzel, which is being surreptitiously refitted to North CheltNamese aircraft by the theoretically neutral forces of the Dorset dairy farm leadership under the rule of Chairman Moo.

Reason: AWARDED Star to their Air Medal (AM) for repeatedly managing to land a light aircraft in the obstructed terrain of the A Shau valley during the defence of the A Loi firebase in Operation Finger Caribou, despite many of these landings being relatively unplanned owing to the need to co-ordinate artillery fire to strike enemy rocket positions. Reason: AWARDED Star to his Air Force Achievement Medal (AFAM) for directing accurate fires from distant batteries onto hostile targets during the defense of the medical station at Bo Lieu in Operation Pink Bush. These fires, conducted despite being frequently under heavy fire to gauge fall of shot and when exposed to provide intel on enemy forces crossing the river, not only acted to shield the objective and blunt several enemy attacks, but also opened battlespace for USMC forces to manoeuvre successfully to counter attack enemy pushes from other directions. Commendation: Whilst under heavy fire Scatter on multiple occasions directed to pinpoint accurate fire from distant batteries on target that not only shielded the objective but blunted numerous counter attacks, allowing EGR to maneuver and take the fight to the enemy. In addition Scatter placed himself in harms way under the sight of enemy guns to deliver critical intel movements of enemy forces crossing the river to attack the objective. Operation: Op Bubbling Lapdog - Four separate sorties as air cavalry. FAC ordered to sweep and send a preparatory bombardment, then the marines went in to sweep up and clear the area, lift out, and on to the next.
Commendation: Scatter provided a high level of accuracy from both direct engagement and vectoring in friendly air in order to achieve objectives. Of particular note were his efforts to protect our flanks with gun runs at LZ splatterpunk. - by Admin

Operation: Op Sure Instruction - Sweeping patrol through the Chelt countryside. Air support via our Air Force friends, and a Seahorse on standby as required.
Commendation: SHIT HOT STRIKES. With zero warning, Maj Scatter turned in and struck an enemy machinegun position supporessing all of EGR while they were crossing a bridge. He accurately placed his rockets, and deleted the enemy machinegun thereby saving EGR. Following this, he accurately placed rockets through a 2 meter tall doorway destroying an enemy machinegun position inside a rock fortress in Kate. He did this with friendly forces less than 50m from the location, with perfectly precise rockets. When asked prior to the strike how accurate he was with rockets, Maj Scatter responded "Shit Hot". His rocket accuracy was in fact, Shit Hot. - by Admin

Operation: Op Pumpkin Chasm - Continuation of Op TURBAN SINK, Endgame Red combat patrols through another three grid squares, taking out the regional Chelt HQ.
Commendation: Calling in a suppressive strike that neutralised primary defensive capabilities of a primary Chelt HQ allowing for the successful assault of this objective whilst under sustained fire from several rocket launchers. The accuracy of the strikes was such that the infantry element was able to close with minimal casualties and thus immediately begin the close assaults of the rock strong points. - by Admin

Operation: Op Practicing Sphinx - Check the collection of bridges all along the river for explosives, defuse them, and run away.
Commendation: Engaged and destroyed a camouflaged enemy armoured force that threatened the destruction of EGR or at least holding off the infantry force until one of the primary objectives had been destroyed. Scatter engaged the enemy including AAA assets at great risk. Successfully neutralising the main force and allowing EGR to over run the enemy position with minimal loss. - by Admin

Operation: Op Modern Lunchmeat - Combat patrol north from Fhonzi to keep the roads open. EGR discovers a major Chelt Cong supply cache on a heavily mined peninsula, suppresses and is suppressed by a flak position, has an unpleasant tangle with a recoilless on a hilltop and discovers the temporary command post of the North Cheltnamese Inland Navy's local commander, Admiral Khazi.
Commendation: For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving with the United States Air Force. During a critical engagement as part of Operation Modern Lunchmeat, Major Scatter demonstrated exceptional situational awareness and unwavering courage when he identified an imminent threat—the approach of a PT-76 light tank targeting Marine squad End Game Red. Recognizing the danger posed to the Marines and their mission, Major Scatter voluntarily exposed himself to extreme risk by maneuvering his Bronco into a highly hazardous environment multiple times. Despite the intense threat from enemy fire and the inherent dangers of close air support, Major Scatter executed multiple attack runs directly over the tank, employing precision tactics to neutralize the threat. His daring actions resulted in the destruction of the enemy vehicle, preventing it from annihilating the Marine squad and ensuring the safety of the marines he was tasked to support.
