Excellent leadership on 30 minutes sleep. Made coherent plans and kept the squad together through them; only walked us through one known UXO field.

Calling in a suppressive strike that neutralised primary defensive capabilities of a primary Chelt HQ allowing for the successful assault of this objective whilst under sustained fire from several rocket launchers. The accuracy of the strikes was such that the infantry element was able to close with minimal casualties and thus immediately begin the close assaults of the rock strong points.

Evacuating wounded from an artillery beaten zone whilst under fire from EI and artillery. In doing so, saving the lives of at least two marines who may have died without prompt medical treatment.
Destroying enemy armour element of a QRF preventing the extraction of EGR from the HQ complex whilst under heavy fire and sustained infantry assault.

Laid down fire to keep us safe, picked up the wounded, and buddied me in and around the rock. Had complete confidence at all times that if I needed him, he'd be there. Solid as a biscuit.

Excellent work flexing his Marine muscles on the ground; keeping me safe from counterbattery fire and close assaults during an artillery duel with the Chelt regional HQ, finding cover for us both from their 107mm Type 63 MLRS while the 105mm regiment at FOB Rockpile did its work. Remained an aggresive combatant throughout several infantry assaults, ranging forward of the platoon to take out a dual machinegun nest armed with MG42, and eventually engaging the enemy with his issue ladle after expending all his .556 ammunition and light antitank weapon.
