Tasked with meeting a bullion convoy at Niem Tin, Endgame Red found the convoy ambused, the vehiles crews dead, and long range communications jammed. As the scene was being assessed they were assaulted by a well armed and equiped force, and after a brief but intense firefight the village was once again in friendly hands. Once the vehicles were repaired it became clear that the gold was long gone, and the unit moved out to try and recover it. A short distance up the road a camp with radio tower was discovered, cleared, and destroyed, enabling the RO and FAC to establish comms and update HQ on the situation on the ground. Also found at the camp was intelligence that pointed to a Yorkshire plot to steal the gold,a nd exfil it to the town of Da Krong.

Following the trail of the Yorkists north the squad passed a group of civilains engaged in cliff edge diving, then took contact from along their route of advance. With their armoured vehicle providing cover the infantry moved forward and neutralise the hostiles. The next resistance was a heavily defended Chelt camp, with multiple machine gun nests and towers. Endgame Red advanced in unconventional order into the path of the guns, but somehow managed to eliminate the enemy before everyone bled out in the mud. With supplies of ammunition and medical supplies stretched thin, a resupply helo was sent, and promptly shot down. Pauing only to gather the supplies, the marines promptly revectored to the crash site, saving the crew, then continued on foot to take the fight to the Yorkshire Bastards at Da Krong.

Contact was heavy. very heavy, and the squad was nearly wiped out before heroic efforts of a couple of memebers resulting in the elimination of the last hostile forces, including a rocket helicopter. With the gold secured, WO Kent oversaw it's handover to waiting troops and two medevac pilots braved the risk of shoulder monted SAMs to extract the marines (and friends).

Despite the best efforts of the medics, LCpl Malone & PFC Hammer were KIA in the battle for Da Krong.
