Commendations

The holes they filled probably is too high to count, fantastic job keeping us from bleeding for too long

I would like to make the command aware of the brave and heroic actions of Gunfighter-1 in the rescue of a downed Captain Scatter, with all other aircraft either exiting the area or unable to safely rescue the captain. gunfighter 1 in their Cobra gunship swiftly moved to the crash site and retrieved the downed pilot using the only place they could the skids of the aircraft. this may be a dangerous and unorthodox method but with out thier quick and intelligent thinking and idea yet another pilot would likely have fallen into enemy hands.

Under fire and in a damaged help, Treadwell landed the damaged vehicle on rough sloping ground in the area requested safely. He then went on to fight with courage and little regard for his own life in order to draw fire away from wounded colleagues, blunting several enemy pushes and killing top gunners in enemy vehicles engaging the squad allowing for the squad to react and manoeuvre to their objectives without being under enfilading fire.

Air support that probably stopped us all dieing, amazing job

Provided vital intel into locations of objectives and coordinated aerial assets in a timely manner than prevented ERG being overwhelmed. In addition downed enemy air assets, that were engaging the vulnerable ERG transport help trying to insert troops onto the ground, at no small risk to their own safety.
Written by Admin
Recovered wounded comrades under close assault and delivered them safely to the first aid area resulting in far less casualties than might have been sustained. Goat ran through enemy fire and passed several enemy all whilst carrying incapacitated soldiers without thought of their own safety.

Chaps did a fucking seller job recovering us out of the shit when they had to take charge

Excellent job taking on the radio, and then the squad.

When the senior NCO was wounded Chaps took on dual responsibility of ground air coordinator and squad lead. Pushed ERG forward and succeeded in securing vital objective then led the squad to neutralise enemy mortar positions and disengage from a number of concerted enemy counter attacks. Vectoring air support, resupply and extraction helo, all whilst fighting a withdrawal and undur sustained fire.

Hey dad, Rhonda here. Hope you guys are well - it's always so hard to find time to write, but I've managed to catch a few minutes of peace to get my thoughts in order and onto the page.

The last few weeks have been tough - we've recently moved to a new home which has a lot more mud and sandbags than the last one. There's been a load of rain and that means plenty of digging and building. I'm fitter than I've ever been in my life; humping a 30cal and all these tools in this terrain and climate ain't easy, but I've got a hell of a team and they depend on my buddy Goat and I to be there to lay down the cover when things get rough.

We've been doing a bunch of SAR missions - not sure I can say much more than that, but it's a hell of a thing when you bring someone home safely. Saving a life in the middle of all this horror and death? Means a lot. More than I'd ever have realised.

There's a whole bunch of things you said before I left that I understand now. I've got so much I want to say to you, but I can never find the words - and I'm already running out of time before we're next out. Not long until I'm home - counting the days. We need to catch up over a beer or five.

I gotta go - we're about to head out. We'll talk more when I'm back. Look after mom and tell her I love her, ok?

To whom it may concern,

I was reliably informed on signing on to the dotted line that I'd be issued with an insane looking outfit and have a private bar. Instead I seem to be been assigned to an insane outfit as a private with a BAR. I shall assume this is a mistake, and await compensation, as soon as I can find where the spa is. Additionally, I have had my straighteners confiscated, an appalling situation I trust will be rectified before this humidity gets any worse.

Yours,
Karen Hosepipe, Pvt USMC
