Commendations

For stepping up to use the radio, staying on top of multiple competing priorities, and helping to communicate with air, supply and the ground team, without which we would not have been able to rescue either pilot.

Good radio work meant we had excellent information flow and solid air co-ordination.

Providing accurate close air support, preventing EGR, who had become fragmented, from being overwhelmed piecemeal. Scatter also directed ground elements accurately onto the key objectives allowing for medical attention to be applied in a timely manner and allowing the downed pilots to be rescued alive.

LCpl Zaytsev showed great bravery and esprit d'corps during the landing and subsequent mission on an outcrop island off the coast of Cheltnam. While in contact he took exceptional care to ensure the safety of allied personnel at increased personal risk to himself while engaging enemy forces (eg, ensuring that CA RDX had safely navigated difficult terrain and was able to join up with the rest of the platoon, ensuring the combat efficiency of his assigned team).

Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills paid off in unit functionality, even when spread out over mountains.

Rescuing one pilot, while on the process of rescuing another pilot, calling in a jolly green to pick us up and all the while calling in more air assets. What a guy.

Finding the pilot and directing EHR to the correct location. Holding off a large hostile force for a considerable time and not leaving the wounded pilot when the situation became untenable.
