Directly found and rescued one of the downed aircrew whilst underfire and maneuvered EGR between pockets of hostile enemies allowing air assets to engage effectively. Havercruft provided needed motivation and leadership at critical points bringing needed elements back to defend key objective when said objective was in danger of being overrun, used air to provide shielding strikes to keep buckling flanks from folding entirely.

Pvt Disco, United States Marine Corps, distinguished herself with conspicuous gallantry as a Rifleman, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Old Dingo on 20 July 2024. With a squad member left behind, Pvt Disco bravely left the safety of the helicopter to find their fellow marine. With the CH-53 lifting off, Pvt Disco disregarded her own safety to extract her teammate. The distinctive accomplishments of Pvt Disco reflect great credit upon herself, the United States Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense.

Provided accurate and timely air support often in danger close missions which stopped friendly ground forces from being overwhelmed, then held the evacuation zone secure from several strong enemy pushes to allow extraction of HVT and downed pilots.

Made some sick bombing runs, especially when some of us were on the ground trying to rescue Pvt Tubular

Stunning Air support

As well as providing accurate FAC of the airspace, acted as a spotter of enemy concentrations and used own initiative to aid in keeping ERG from being overwhelmed. Scatter's use of air assets to cover several movement bounds by EGR allowed the team to maintain tempo and maneuver to extract downed friendlies in the knowledge that air support was on call and able to shield them from converted enemy attack. Without this coordination it is unlikely WGR would have been able to extract the number of friendlies they did and their safe evacuation by Help is in doubt due to the likelihood of the LZ being overrun by superior numbers of EI in the area.

Coordinated with air to provide accurate intel and targets allowing EGR to maneuver and stay on mission. Several times Bacon's actions resulted in enemy concentrations being destroyed before engaging EGR and pinning it in place thus allowing securing of downed aircrew with minimal risk to them and momentum of mission maintained.

Kept the blue team tight and saved my ass a few times when I had bitten off more than I could chew.

Didn't firebomb us, and also did a very good job shooting chelty from the sky.

Pvt Tubular, United States Marine Corps, distinguished himself with conspicuous gallantry as a Rifleman, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Old Dingo on 20 July 2024. With the entire Platoon suppressed by a PT-76, Pvt Tubular bravely exposed himself to withering enemy fire in order to destroy the enemy vehicle. This enabled 1st Platoon to bring in a CH-53 and extract safely. The distinctive accomplishments of Pvt Tubular reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense.

Was a crack shot with his ordinance and took out two vehicles before they could hurt us and took out the armor before it could even see us.

Some excellent tube shooting at just the right moment meaning that neither truck nor tank kept us down for long.

Exceptional initiative and rapid engagement of a vehicular threat approaching the unit with anti-tank weaponry on two occassions, taking out both a truck with mounted MG as well as a tank during the extraction at LZ.
