Operation Chartreuse Flute

SM Howser, United States Navy, distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving as Corpsman, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Chartreuse Flute on 24 March 2024. With the Platoon dangerously low on medical supplies and surrounded by Chelt forces, SM Howser bravely volunteered to sneak through enemy lines for resupply. Evading enemy artillery and patrols, SM Howser single handedly carried a 100 Lb crate of life saving medical stocks all the way back to the stranded Platoon. SM Howsers selfless gallantry ensured the survival of Endgame Red, and the success of mission. The distinctive accomplishments of SM Howser reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Navy, and the Department of Defense.

A well led and executed mission, including excellent use of air assets and judicious use of medevacs. Would follow this LT anywhere.

With a number of casualties in EGR and out of ammunition for his M3 Grease Gun, Lt Havercruft charged into a Chelt fortification armed with his M1911 with no regard for his personal safety and, arguably, common sense. A courageous act which built momentum for the assault and led to the rock being cleared of Chelt.

Pvt Redeye, United States Marine Corps, distinguished himself by outstanding meritorious service as a Rifleman, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Chartreuse Flute on 24 March 2024. With the Platoon exposed on rocky crag and under vision of Chelt artillery observers, Pvt Redeye engaged and reduced the enemy observer at over 1000m range, firing from the kneeling position, using just his rifle. Pvt Redeyes quick action enabled Endgame Red to remain hidden, and subsequently surprise the nearby enemy radio position. The distinctive accomplishments of Pvt Redeye reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense.

Dear Mary Anne,

Today was a good day. I took my Marines to the neighborhood obstacle course for some exercise, and they loved it! Uncle Robert told me that I should make my voice deeper and more southern gain more respect, and it worked! They didn't complain at all about the calisthenics, and one of my Corpsman even decided to keep PTing to show his dedication. I think they are really starting to respect me. Uncle Robert would be proud.

We got to take a fun helicopter and boat ride to visit with some locals, I think they love us. After a nice walk through the countryside we were able to relax in a scenic rocky overlook above a winding river vista. My Marines loved it. We spent the rest of the day toasting marshmallows and mingling with the local populace.
