Commendation: Pvt Chaos repeatedly and courageously took the initiative at initiation of contact to assault a number of enemy positions on Endgame Red's search route, in some cases almost single-handedly while most of the squad were still getting their bearings. His swift and decisive actions allowed several groups of enemy infantry to be destroyed before they could inflict casualties on the unit, and his diligence in returning for a squad member who had become trapped in an exposed position by direct fire from enemy armour while the rest of the squad were still attempting to extract and regroup is a testament to his stern and steely courage and situational awareness. - by Admin

Holding the lynchpin in the defensive lines, PFC Chaos's accurate fire defeated more than 8 enemy direct assaults. His heroism by remaining at the hottest point in the line enabled friendly forces to defeat major Chelt attacks and secure the Westernmost flank allowing the offensive to succeed. Operation: Op Substance Melon - In which we have a two day pass in Hue, and so does the chelt uprising. Stealth is optional. We had a gunfight in a market. And a hospital. And a factory. And a suburb. And a consulate. It was a jolly wizard time and we were able to recover the crucial intel command had secreted in a variety of locations around the city like veritable ghosts, flirting from one shadow to another. It is doubtful that the Chelt even knew were were there.

Operation: Op Weeping Ring - Garrison the fire base at Khe Gio through a series of North Chelt assaults over several days. Then, move up to the west to retake the village of Lang Mau and the river crossing beyond.

Medal: Bronze Star Medal (1 Gold Star)

Reason: AWARDED Star to his Bronze Star Medal for counter charging a large unit of PAVN Da Krong Commandos who were assaulting a gap in the defences, sustaining several wounds while firing his weapon from the hip to throw back the attack against the undefended area of the perimeter during the defence of the firebase at Khe Gio in Operation Weeping Ring. Commendation: During a night assault on the firebase a large squad of Da Krong commandos found a gap in the defenders fire pattern and charged the wire at a weak point in mine defences and wire barricades. This charge was met by Chaos, who counter charged the entire squad, hip firing his M60 and killing a significant number of enemy combatants. Wounded but not incapacitated he then returned to the friendly perimeter and continued to participate in the defence of the rest of the perimeter. If it had not been for Chaos's quick, brave and aggressive action the perimeter of the camp would have been breached and the integrity of the Firebase compromised. - by Admin

Operation: Op Bear Change - SAR Operation to recover the 5 crew members of a downed E2 Hawkeye aircraft.

Reason: AWARDED Star to his Navy and Marine Corps Medal (NMCM) for acting as an impromptu radio operator following the injury of the platoon RO, ensuring regular updates for air, ground, and co-ordinating extraction during SAR work for a downed E2 Hawkeye in Operation Bear Change. (by Admin)

Commendation: Stepped up to take over ground/air comms when Morse went down, and apparently also control of the squad for the evacuation - decisive action which led to the squad evauating without taking any fatalities. - by Admin

Reason: AWARDED Air Medal for extremely effective control of air assets as temporary RO, arranging for fires, supplies, destroying enemy ground vehicles threatening the squad during activity to clear roadways for convoys during Operation Extralarge Adoption. (by Admin)

Commendation: With absence of usual radio operator, Chaos stepped in and provided needed Comms coordination. Arranging for and locating needed supply drop whilst squad in contact with enemy. Goat provided close in perimeter support and held back an enemy push that would have overwhelmed a badly depleted friendly squad. Whilst squad suppressed an enemy armoured column, Chaos directed close air to destroy the said column, allowing EGR to continue their patrol and opening up the route for the delayed resupply convoy. - by Admin

Commendation: The latest in several instances (unfortunately unable to submit specifics per operation, but this has happened before in the past, please weight this accordingly) of being willing to diversify role and taking at short notice. In this particular instance, not just a different role than usual, but two at once in providing emergency mortar crewing. - by Admin

Reason: POSTHUMOUSLY AWARDED Mention in Dispatches (MID) for combat acrobatics while engaging in anti-tank activity during the search for Cheltenamese radio transmission points as part of Operation Graphic Rabbit. LCpl Chaos manoeuvred himself to a position able to fire upon the flanks of an enemy armoured vehicle (and thus penetrate its armour) in a combination of movements which can best be described as balletic and at one point thanks to a grenade close miss, ballistic. Commendation: For outstanding Squad leadership, Clear and succinct orders and Keeping his house in order. Also because he hates me calling him sir so i need to work towards his eventual promotion. - by Admin

Commendation: This isn't for me, its for my fire team. During the push towards the final objective Yellow team came into contact with the enemy directly in the path of our route of advance. The chelt were dug in on the high ground in cover. Yellow team's instant reaction, without order or hesitation was to meet the enemy with overwhelming aggression and force, launching a direct assault on the position, taking the hill, clearing the area and fighting through without breaking stride. This action meant that only minor casualties were taken and these were easily dealt with. Easily the smoothest work I have seen in some time with each member of the team staying in their lane and communicating with their squad mates to give mutual support They pressed the attack, covered each others' reloads and killed all the chelt. Its enough to bring a tear this 0331's eye. Commendation to cover Wrench, Misstep, Gucci and Clapman. - by Admin

Operation: Op Settler Spirit - A flight of three helicopters (Loach, Cobra, Guns-a-G-GO) under the control of a Forward Air Controller (Bird Dog) take on multiple hostile ground targets with varying success. Upon return to base, alternative ground transport is organsied to take a convoy of supplies to an IDAP camp in the village of Phouvong, which then needed defending from hostile attacks.

Operation: Op Geology Inspector - Insert deep behind Chelt lines and assault the SA-2 GUIDELINE site at Thud Ridge. To destroy: 7 x launchers, 1 x FAN SONG radar, 2 x backup radar trucks. Destroyed: 4 x launcher, 1 x FAN SONG, 1 x backup radar truck, and back across the bridge 75 seconds before the SF unit holding it were due to disengage.

Medal: Bronze Star Medal (2 Gold Stars)

Reason: POSTHUMOUSLY AWARDED Star to their Bronze Star Medal (BSM) for repeatedly risking their life to recover casualties and counterattack enemy pushes during a deep penetration mission behind enemy lines aiming to destroy North Cheltnamese air defenses as part of Operation Geology Inspector, while also displaying driving skill surpassing that of other Marine experts in the field and in several cases surpassing the limitations of physics and reality in a liberated Zil transport truck during the evacuation from the mission zone. Commendation: LCpl Chaos displayed driving skill well beyond any reasonably expectation, indeed well beyond the apparent limitations of physics on some occasions. His improvised cross-country dash in a captured Zil transport truck, while pursued by armed enemy rotary-wing air allowed EGR to reach the exfiltration point in time and without his courageous and skilled action the platoon would certainly have been cut off in a politically embarassing location. - by Admin

Operation: Op Press Recording - SAR for the crew of an A-3D Skywarrior bomber down in the vicinity of Fuck That. While TACAIR was available and landed some hefty strikes (some on the enemy, and some on the platoon) difficulty with radio propagation meant that in the end, a Herculean effort from the infantry was required instead.

Status: Dead
