Commendations

Kept the squad together and coherent. Expertly guided the LT to the best tactical options while making it sound natural.

Bloodbath on several occasions quite literally held the mission together. Including my head, after I got shot in it lots. In spite of only a few active missions with the squad as a medic, Bloodbath was able to calmly and effectively deal with critical casualties during active fire fights, both preventing loss of life, but also enabling the squad to remain combat effective under gruelling conditions.

Several times throughout the mission was critical in dropping HE from a distance dead on target, including a one shot one kill on an enemy vehicle that was brassing us up from all the way across the fields. And then, yes, one time at somewhat less distance as she basically blooped a grenade about 3 feet in front of her and the enemy turned into mist and completely ruined her outfit.

Well led mission, excellent decision making and control.

Called in the entire USAF, which saved our behinds as we were getting chewed apart. Stepped up with NCO down to get the squad to safety for the medevac.

Did not abandon his fearless leader, the LT in his moment of need. LT was wounded by friendly arty, and Wrench bravely exposed himself to save his favorite scion of inspiration. The US Senate will remember this many years from now.

During the foot patrol, shortly after identifying and bypassing a series of enemy landmines, the squad was ambushed by a significant chelt force. I observed Wrench taking the fight to the enemy and blunting the force of their assault, fighting on and killing multiple enemies even though he had become wounded in the action. Wrench's aggression and esprit d'corps in this moment prevented the squad from being overrun from two flanks and allowed the squad to withdraw in good order.

On multiple occasions I observed Pvt Gucci demonstrating excellent marksmanship in defence of the squad medic who was treating serious casualties while under fire. Gucci's quick reactions and accurate fire prevented the medic from being attacked and without doubt saved lives. Well, no, saved marine lives, he shot a shit load of chelt and them guys are proper dead now. I must however, query Gucci's MOS as his efficiency of rounds on numerous occasions fell well above the level expected of an 0331.

Soliloquy of Chaos, Cheltnam, Late 1966:
Yet again I found myself humping Morse's rig through the Jungle. I still have NFC why she keeps a bunch of bus timetables and bingo cards in her pockets, but damn if still using a grease gun isn't a cry for help. Luckily the LT had dropped his shades, so I was able to maintain some coolness in spite of not having Baby with me. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this radio thing though, we even tried some accurate type artillery stuff, which was a bit hit and miss, but still seemed more pro than the usual "fuck that grid square" approach I've applied in the past. Speaking of which, I need to work on my Sierra Hotel radio voice, I asked if we could have an air strike and got a Prairie Fire, I assume, based on how perturbed I sounded. Must be the grease gun causing the lack of cool. Still, we got it done, stacked some Chelt, cleared spider holes, ambushes, rocks full o'bastards and a mine field. It was getting dark by the time we were almost finished and we got the word that Chelty was between us and home. One massive candle (flare) lit firefight later and we home.
