Commendations

Expertly managed squads and members to effectively defend the village. Fantastic spatial management skills.

The poor haggard Sargent did everything he could to keep the mission on track. Keeping tabs of everyone when he wasn't down was masterclass and in the end, more than half of the civies made it!

Keeping her fire team in the fight and maintaining a perimeter against sustained assaults supported by artillery and with limited support. Candid placed her marines well, in well thought out defensive positions and conducted the firefight with determination and called an assault to close with the enemy at the correct moment to fragment the last attacking elements, driving the enemy back to their initial jumping off positions, which her team then overran.

Her leadership of yellow team made it easy to communicate and stay focused when leadership was out of commission. She also single-handedly dragged her team to safety in the village when they were all down.

Seeing no alternative, the Lt drove a truck packed with explosives into an area being retaken by the enemy. Through enemy fire the truck exploded thereby destroying the radio jammer that was blocking Comms and the extraction of the wounded from the primary objective.

Leading a setermined effort against an entrenched enemy with only small support in order to destroy jamming and restore support to the unit.

The hair-brained idea to pack a small civilian vehicle full of explosives and drive it to the enemy jammer position worked with no casualties. He only crashed the car into trees twice too! And okaying the suicide mission to charge the machine gun and mortar position was A+ marine-ing too.

Led attack on MG/Mortar/Comm Mast, even in the face of overwhelming MG42 fire. Followed the LT foolishly on direct assaults, but pulled it off. Managed to destroy all the positions and restore comms.

Good rally and reorganisation during an enemy push after being informed of the incapacity of all senior members of the unit.

Discovered and led recovery operation to retrieve a mortar. Effectively kept enemy heads down to enable friendly defense.

The latest in several instances (unfortunately unable to submit specifics per operation, but this has happened before in the past, please weight this accordingly) of being willing to diversify role and taking at short notice. In this particular instance, not just a different role than usual, but two at once in providing emergency mortar crewing.

Taking the initiative to not only retrieve the mortar but to use it without training was impressive. His forward thinking allowed for extra options, and he didn't even shoot any of us!

Diligent in the line of duty. Kept his team alive until the end and made the ultimate sacrifice. Kept CA Wrench alive and in the fight during multiple rounds of mortar shelling, even when his squad and the LT were busy trying to get to the enemy mortar.

Charging out to the north east, holding the line to keep Cheltie off while we picked up casualties and brought them back in. Misstep courageously stood alone and shot numerous enemy as they assaulted over and over. What a guy.

Co-ordinating with skill and authority several mass casualty situations, keeping several marines alive despite grievous wounds. Risking himself in the defence of the village when perimeters were breached and casualties were mounting. At one point repelling a concerted push on the aid station he was in saving the lives of the wounded there in and allowing EGR to continue their mission.

Kept the group alive, even when half the team was down at any given time. Worked hard to stay afloat and was flexible with where he needed to go.

HA Bungalow in the later stages of the mission found themselves to be the only medic stationed with the squad at the objective, despite this and at the times the squad were spread over a few hundred meters attempting to stop various chelt attacks, his excellent medical skill prevented any large scale loss of life to the unit as he rapidly and expertly responded for all calls for aid
