Reason: POSTHUMOUSLY AWARDED Bronze Star Medal (BSM) for heroic actions in recovering friendly casualties from areas heavily suppressed by enemy AAA positions at great risk to her own life, and then later risking immolation by forest fire and receiving third degree burns while recovering further casualties, saving them from a hideous death by burning during the valley base assaults of Operation Weak Fellow. Reason: AWARDED Star to his Bronze Star Medal with Combat V (BSM) for deliberately exposing himself to sustained enemy fire in order to lay down a blocking wall of HE grenades when the platoon position was about to be overrun, receiving multiple serious wounds in doing so but preventing the enemy envelopment and allowing the platoon to recover wounded and push through the counterattack in the intense battle to destroy an enemy valley base NW of Ninh Tho during Operation Weak Fellow. Reason: AWARDED Mention in Dispatches (MID) for heroically detonating enemy captured air to ground munitions by ordering point blank bazooka fire, cleverly and tactically creating an immense forest fire which denied the munitions to the enemy and covered his team's withdrawal from the AO while also encouraging swift movement and operational tempo towards the LZ during Operation Weak Fellow.
