Reason: AWARDED Star to his Bronze Star Medal (BSM) for bravery and dedication to duty as the platoon's only heavy anti tank weaponeer during the assault on Hill 119, frequently manoeuvring to flank enemy forces to knock out several armoured vehicles despite this exposing him to fire from the remainder of the enemy defensive line during Operation Gravy Den.
