LCpl Disco, United States Marine Corps, distinguished herself with conspicuous gallantry as a Squad Leader, 1st Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines during Operation Gravy Den on 27 July 2024. Commanding Yellow Team, LCpl Disco expertly maneuvered her Marines on the flanks of enemy forces, catching them in pincer fire. Her masterful control of her troops enabled Blue Team to form the lynchpin of the ambush and fight off numerous assault waves. Operation Gravy Den was a highly fluid situation. There were attacks, counter attacks, defences, counter defences, feints, artillery, air strikes, tanks and a general malaise upon the land. In all of that, Disco had the misfortune of being lumbered with leading a Yellow fire team. Not just any yellow fire team, but Misstep and Chaos. In the heat of battle, with her team on full rock 'n' roll with the volume all the way up, Disco somehow managed to keep track of, and keep alive both of her charges who should probably be on charges for only ever wanting to mount charges. In the heat of combat her orders were clear, decisive and effective, leading to her team being more effective in turn. Top work.
