A flight of three helicopters (Loach, Cobra, Guns-a-G-GO) under the control of a Forward Air Controller (Bird Dog) take on multiple hostile ground targets with varying success. Upon return to base, alternative ground transport is organsied to take a convoy of supplies to an IDAP camp in the village of Phouvong, which then needed defending from hostile attacks.

PFC Gucci awarded Navy and Marine Corps Medal: AWARDED Navy and Marine Corps Medal (NMCM) for acting, despite their own injuries, to defend and stabilise wounded comrades during the battle at Phouvong as part of defence of an IDAP camp in Operation Settler Spirit, ensuring their safety until a medic could arrive.

PFC Misstep awarded Navy and Marine Corps Commendation: POSTHUMOUSLY AWARDED Star to their Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat V (NMCCM-V) for repeatedly leaving the wire to conduct flanking assaults to break up and disrupt enemy pushes against the village of Phouvong during the defence of an IDAP camp as part of Operation Settler Spirit.

1Lt Greensquare awarded Air Force Combat Action Medal: Air Force Combat Action Medal (AFCAM) for supporting the defence of the Phouvong during Operation Settler Spirit, standing post and returning fire against an oncoming barrage of RPG and rifle-grenade fire from Chelt Cong assault troops from his defensive position on the west side of the village.

Unit awarded Meritorious Unit Commendation: AWARDED Meritorious Unit Commendation for the defence of the IDAP encampment at Phouvong in Operation Settler Spirit following a supply delivery, emphasising US support of NGO activity in South ChelteNam for the betterment of the average citizen in the move towards civilisation from their west-country origins.
