You must be confused, buddy. We’ve never been to Shropshire. But if we did, I bet this is what would have happened.
Someone misparked a Blackbird, then got snatched by the Shrop.
1st Platoon, after their previous success with deniable operations and saving VIPs is sent in to deny the pilot and rescue the plane. Or is it the other way round?
Being the true black ops ninjas they are, 1st platoon go in late at night in the pitch black for a stealth operation. They have 9 torches and 2 silencers between them, and quickly decide that torches are for noobs.
Employing a keen sense of smell, and pigeon like homing sense the platoon found the river marking the border to Shropshire. There’s a bridge with guards. And a stealth boat.
The guard post fires on Blue team, so we shoot some of the bridge guards who have lights (noobs).
Yellow team fords the river and lays up in an ambush position.
Some guy comes running out of the woods waving a torch and a hand gun, and is promptly slotted for being a dickhead.
Then the shooting started.
The platoon takes fire and breaks contact. Hits enemy squads, has a gun fight, a helo comes looking for them. Arty starts landing. The platoon is split up.
Some time later, involving stealth bicycles, 343 marco polo, piggy back endurance records and dead reckoning by scent the Platoon stumbles onto the blackbird wreckage.
More gunfighting ensues and some of the platoon die. Lots of Shrop do too, but they aren’t real people, so we don’t care.
The blackbird is detonated.
The gang starts tabbing cross country to find the pilot.
There is a lot more gun fighting.
BTRs filled with angry Sailor Moon cosplayers turn up and starts wrecking our shit.
More gunfighting.
Airbust rounds go into tents.
Revolvers get emptied.
More people are shot.
The platoon recovers the pilot and goes to radio for extract, before realising that the radio operator got shot and they didn’t pick up the 117.
The pilot dies of wounds that definitely have nothing to do with 40mm airburst rounds.
We found a BTR? (Shot the driver and nicked it).
Yellow team hops the BTR and heads for the river. Blue team walk, or something??
Kent saved Wardaddy, despite the Sarge’s best efforts to keep getting blown up.
The platoon fight their way back to friendly territory, having recovered any intel or identifying marks from the pilot and head home for tea and purple hearts.
Phones, Mash, Shades, Snowman and have karked it.
