Operation Known Chalice

The platoon goes to Hue to save a government minister. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Newly promoted Phones got out of leading anything by getting some air time in, right up to the point where Broadside fucked the main rotors when coming in for a landing to switch guns.
Shot up the ridge to the south of the Minister’s residence. A lot.
Ran all over the city many times.
Bled all over the city many times.
Still waiting for the Air Force to arrive at the far side of the west bridge.
Was very pleased when they did arrive on the southern side of the railway tracks.
Bled some more.
Hung around on a roundabout for a bit.
Broadside mullered some machine gunners so we could get across the bridge to the citadel.
Completely failed to notice backup wasn’t with me when clearing the citadel cellars.
Headed to clear northern citadel gardens and woke up in helo covered in blood.
