Took two UH-1s, Flew into Vandergriff under fire to relieve the garrison
Defended through the night, heavy attacks. Friend Bronco (Zulu?) very helpful recce.
Platoon deployed by UH-1 to Rebro Vandergriff to relieve garrison under sustained Chelt attack. Chelt attacks through the evening and night were held off, supported by Marine aviation OV-10 Bronco.
Order to launch a Patrol to prevent buildup of Chelt forces. Engaged and destroyed hill of badness
It got dark and we scarpered back again to defend night 2

Platoon patrolled to locate and destroy a nearby Chelt position, disrupting their ability to mass for attacks on Vandergriff. Platoon returned to Vandergriff to hold the perimeter for a second night, again with OV-10 Bronco support, and making good use of illumination grenades, fixed searchlights and flares.
Huey was destroyed on the pad by enemy fire and detonated a nearby crate of illum flares.
Chelt forces kept arriving in a treeline exactly 175 yards in front of Blitz, the fools
Lifted destroyed helo off the pad by means of Crystal Maze style instructions to allow for extraction.
Ammunition resupply was delivered by UH-1; a UH-1 was destroyed on the pad, blocking further helicopter ops until a CH-53 from Savage was able to lift the wreckage clear.
