Initial vehicle pushes across the bridge are destroyed in battle with opposition heavy tanks, but are successful in clearing out the heaviest enemy vehicles and pushing immediate defenders back from the bridgehead. Opposition forces dig in heavily, covering approaches with machine-gun equipped trench lines and hastily constructed bunkers, and garrisoning three outlying villages while calling for additional support from off-map bases to the South.
1st Platoon infantry forces move across the bridge and are pinned by heavy fire until able to consolidate under the protection of artillery smoke barrages and call in fire on the closest trench lines. The boatyard is assaulted and cleared, although the platoon becomes separated and one section is pinned and savaged by fire from a ChelteNamese light tank and the defenders of one of the outlying villages, although they do reduce the defenders of that village to a handful.
A supply truck makes it across the bridge and allows the platoon to resupply at the boatyard, allowing the command bunker to be stormed on the hilltop. Sweeping to the south, the ingress route of enemy reinforcement is closed, although a flamethrower equipped light tank slows the advance until it can be destroyed with AT fire. Moving north again, the outlying villages are cleared, permitting casualty collection as the platoon reorganises.
