Operation High-level Rainmaker
Campaign: Modern · Fri 25 Oct 2024
OPERATION RECORD // AFTER ACTION REPORT
Operation Summary
UNPROFART makes its mark on the local political landscape from the suggestion recovery of a hostage from a kidnapping gang, followed by the recovery of a young man (with a well-connected family) from an insurgent-infested national park, where wolves rule the night.
Commendations
Sgt Bennet's quick thinking and tight control over the unit and situation prevented me from straying away and investigating the campfire alone. This likely prevented me from being eaten by the Chupacabra, and therefore I owe my life to Sgt Bennet.
Bingley's diligence during the search and rescue phase of High-level Rainmaker saved the op - a group of insurgents had moved into an ambush position in the treeline along our line of advance and were preparing to engage when Bingley spotted them with his SOFLAM. It is likely that the squad would have taken severe casualties had he not quickly identified them and communicated their location.
Secured the initial HVT and provided cover for the collection of other prisoners, then covered main route of suspected enemy QRF. After that retrieved, fixed and drove evacuated vehicle to extraction location.
