Operation Summary

Recon followed by a sweep and clear of an enemy held airfield, led to establishment of contact with two friendly (or at the least not overtly hostile) groups within the local area. Combat Team Simba (Working title) was also able to free several civilians and deny a number of vehicles to the enemy warlords across the river.

LAC Terry engaged enemy armour at a critical point in the assault when the squad was maneuvering over open ground and vulnerable. Their use of AT to quickly nullify enemy QRF armour allowed the assault and clearance of the airfield to maintain tempo. It also denied a local warlord of a key asset they were using to maintain control of their territory.

Acting with courage under fire to deny assets to the enemy, Skyscraper also risked their life in finding a clear path through a minefield to free several civilians being kept against their will.
