Operation Wagner Dawn
Campaign: 1986 Cold War · Sun 29 Jan 2023
OPERATION RECORD // AFTER ACTION REPORT
Operation Summary
Retrieve supplies from the supply dump, then go get it back from the looters. Having done this, go back and assault Supplingenberg with the aid of a friendly Leopard.
Commendations
In the true spirit of the British Army, leading a charge to disable an active and hostile enemy tank on open ground with a handful of troopers possessing only 1 light AT weapon.
Leading an assault on an enemy held OP in broken ground whilst under fire and with minimal available suppression. Chonker was able to clear a number of strong points and allow the quick resolution of this action.
Providing command with information as to enemy moments vital to the mission, using local terrain and buildings to maintain a steady stream of accurate information to allow enemy forces to be engaged and neutralised by friendly forces.
Providing medical attention to a number of casualties within a building being engaged by enemy armour, allowing the squad to maintain the defensive perimeter around a key road junction.
Pte Carthorse made excellent use of captured enemy equipment, setting up an emplaced DshK on the expected vector of attack and crewing said machine gun even under fire from an approaching tank, taking down a significant number of enemy infantry. Without this initiative, we may not have been able to hold the town of Supplingenberg and would have been overrun.
